Anime series Kill La Kill is getting a video game adaptation

First aired in 2013, Kill La Kill is a Japanese animated series produced by Japanese studio Trigger. The show follows the character of Ryuko Matoi as she searches for her father’s killer. After the very first teaser was posted last month, the first trailer for Kill La Kill the Game: IF was showcased at Anime Expo 2018.

The theme of the game is fighting, more specifically in an arena. Players engage in one versus one combat, quite similar to a few Dragon Ball Z and Naruto titles. Kill La Kill the Game: IF is currently in development by studio APlus. From the look of the trailer, it seems that the game features intense fast paced combat, which would make fans of the anime series feel right at home. “Ryuko Matoi” and “Satsuki Kiryuin” are confirmed to be playable characters.

If you have not seen it yet, check out the first trailer for the game here:

“The big hit anime that rocked the world and Mankanshoku’s family in 2013, “Kill la Kill”, is now coming to your gaming consoles!”

The first playable demo for the game will be held at EVO 2018 at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas from August 3rd to August 5th. Although an exact date has not yet been stated, Kill La Kill the Game: IF is expected to be released some time in 2019. The game will be available on the PlayStation 4 and on PC via Steam.

Apart from a few screenshots of gameplay found on the official website of Kill La Kill the Game: IF, there is not much we know about the game yet. However, we can expect to learn more details about the game and how it works at the sneak preview that is due next month.
