Honor Note 10 May Tout Huawei’s Most Powerful Kirin 970 Processor Yet

Huawei’s Honor sub-brand is due to launch a new flagship phablet in the near future. A new leak brings us some information about the specifications that the Honor Note 10 might feature. It appears that the handset will tout the most powerful processor that Huawei has ever made.

Huawei is one of the very few smartphone manufacturers who use their own processors in their handsets. It has managed to compete with the likes of Qualcomm in the high-end market with competitive solutions. The Kirin 970 is Huawei’s most powerful processor yet. The octa-core chip has four Cortex-A73 and four Cortex-A53 CPU cores coupled with an ARM Mali-G72MP12 graphics processor. It enjoys technical parity with Samsung’s Exynos 9810 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835.

According to the leak, the Honor Note 10 is going to feature a 6.9 inch QHD+ resolution display and will be powered by the Kirin 970 processor. There may also be 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Since no flagship smartphone is complete without dual cameras this year, the Honor Note 10 is expected to feature a 24 megapixel + 16 megapixel dual camera system at the back. There may also be a 16 megapixel selfie camera. The handset will likely come with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Huawei’s Emotion UI 8.1 custom skin.

The Honor Note 10 will be the successor to the Honor Note 8 that came out back in August 2016. Even though there were a lot of leaks concerning the Honor Note 9 last year, the company didn’t release it. Huawei is now expected to officially announce the Honor Mate 10 next month.
