Samsung Galaxy Tab A2 and A2 XL leak shows no physical home button

Recent leaks and rumors by folks at Tablet Monkeys reveal Samsung’s plans of unveiling a range of four new tablets in this year. These four tablets will be on different pricing spectrums. The tab with the lowest price range is rumored to be the updated Galaxy Tab A8.0 which is currently on the way to all major American carriers. The tab with the highest price range on the spectrum might be the bezel-less Tab S4. In between these two are Samsung Galaxy Tab Advanced2 and Advanced2 XL, both of which have been revealed on the latest live image leaks.

Specs of the Four Rumored Tabs

Tab Advanced2

Tab Advanced2 seems to be an update of Galaxy TabA10.1 from June 2016 with a 10.1 inch screen and Android 8.0 along with full HD resolution of 1920×1200. It means the tab would retain the Exynos 7870 processor alongside a memory of 3GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB. There would be a few external changes however, with the most significant being the removal of physical home navigation button that is being replaced by an alternate on-screen icon instead. The other two physical buttons will be put on-screen now as well. There would be no significant reduction in the size of the bezel otherwise and would possibly possess a mid-range nature. The tab will also have a complete WiFi cover, 4.2 Bluetooth with a weight of 525 grams.

Tab Advanced2 XL

This version of the tab is believed to be more of an upgrade of the previous version. For instance, the company has reduced the sizes of the bezels to a slight extent which has allowed for the incorporation of a slightly bigger panel measuring 10.5 inches. These specs match the ones featured on the soon to arrive Galaxy TabS4. The physical home button on the set has again been removed. As far as the internal specs of the tab is concerned, there are no known details other than that it will be available straight out of the box with Android 8.1 Oreo.

Date of Reveal

It is not really clear as yet when Samsung plans on unveiling its new lineup of tablets. Recent rumors have though pointed towards a possible IFA reveal for Galaxy TabS4 and the official appearance of other two tabs as well. If it is believed to be true, it may be possible that Samsung might shorten the tabs’ names to Galaxy Tab A2 and A2 XL before it is officially unveiled at the event.
