Crytek’s FPS Bounty Hunting Game Hunt: Showdown Set For Xbox One Release

Hunt: Showdown is a first-person multiplayer bounty hunting game developed by Crytek, a video game developer famous for their well-known CRYENGINE. As part of the collaboration between Crytek and Microsoft that was announced today, Hunt: Showdown will be coming to Xbox One soon.

Currently only available on PC, Crytek is looking to spread their game and their first platform of choice is Xbox One. Hunt: Showdown will be released on Xbox Game Preview, a service similar to Steam Early Access. Players can purchase preview and purchase games that are currently in development and become a part of the process.

“Bringing Hunt: Showdown to Xbox Game Preview means getting the game in front of a whole new audience, and we can’t wait to hear the feedback that Xbox players bring to the game and the community,” said Fatih Özbayram, Producer at Crytek. “This is another important step in taking our development to the next level, and we’re glad we can share this announcement with you.”

Hunt: Showdown

Set in the dank, muddy and monster filled swamps of Louisiana, Hunt: Showdown mixes elements of PvE and PvP. Before departing on a contract, players must hire a hunter for the mission. During a match, up to ten players fight against each other and monsters in their hunt for a bounty. After killing a bounty, the player must start the banishment process which reveals their position and progress to everyone on the map. Teams of two can take part in this action packed survival horror experience that gives you the chills. However, if you die on the mission, perma-death mechanics cause you to lose all progress with the selected hunter.

More information about the Xbox One edition of Hunt: Showdown will be shared at a later date. Stay up to date by heading over to the official website.
