Monster Hunter: World PC release date and system requirements announced

The PC version of Capcom’s action role playing game series Monster Hunter has been in development for a while now. First announced back in January, Monster Hunter: World PC was given an estimated fall release date. Earlier today, Capcom posted a trailer for the game which revealed that the game will be released on August 9th.

“In Monster Hunter: World, follow the journey of the elder dragons as they begin their once a decade migration across the sea to a land known as the New World in an event referred to by inhabitants as the Elder Crossing. As part of the Guild’s Research Commission, players must embark on a grand journey to this massive, mysterious land and uncover the secrets behind this phenomenon. As hunters set out on their quests, the Commission’s sights are set on Zorah Magdaros, a colossal elder dragon that rises from the earth like a volcano.”

Pre-order

While Monster Hunter: World PC was originally supposed to be released much later, it is a pleasant surprise to see the game be available much earlier. The game now has an official Steam listing and is available to pre-order for about $60 USD. Players who pre-order Monster Hunter: World PC will receive the exclusive Origin Armor Set as well as the Fair Wind Charm.
