Free-to-play FPS BlackShot’s Overdrive Content Update Adds New Maps, Modes, and Weapons

BlackShot is the most popular free to play first person shooter game on the Southeast Asian market developed by Vertigo Games. The latest content update for the game is titled Overdrive and adds new maps, game modes and a variety of new weapons. Alongside the update, the Revolution game overhaul has been deployed which reworks many aspects of BlackShot.

Overdrive

Included with the Overdrive update are 10 fan-favorite maps: Ice Cave, Lost Temple, No Mercy, Lab, Junkyard II, Normadie II, Cargo Ship, Savage Ground, and more. Additionally, two new game modes, Ultra Rapid Fire and Free for All, are now available to be played on the new maps.

Weapons

One of the many selling points of an FPS game, a total of 22 new weapons have been added to BlackShot. The new weapons have been reworked and feature updated visual textures. The full list of weapons is as follows:

Aside from the big content additions, the Overdrive update also brings with it ‘Revolution’. This major game overhaul aims to revitalize the game by providing visual and UI updates, alongside re-balancing weapons and the currency system.

On the premium side of things, new premium packages have been added to the store. A total of four new packages, Striker, Marksman, Breacher and Scout, can be purchased from the in-game store. On top of the 50,000 Gold, purchasing the packages will give players access to a large number of perks, attachments and weapon skins.
