Kero Blaster was well received by fans as is evident by its very positive rating on Steam. Today, Pixel announced that the hit platformer game will be coming to Nintendo Switch and is available to pre-purchase now.

The trailer that was posted today gives us a preview of what’s to come:

Kero Blaster

Kero Blaster is a side scrolling action platformer from the creators of Cave Story. Originally released on iOS and PC, the game was considered a success and is now making its way to the Nintendo Switch. The story of the game follows the player, a bipedal frog who works at “Cat & Frog Inc.”, as he fights off enemies throughout his journey.

From the outside, it seems that the game does not have many features. However, in-depth health, weapon, and money mechanics make the game an enjoyable experience. Players can save up money which they can spend on better weapons and increased health to defeat stronger enemies. As you progress through the story, your character grows stronger and can defeat enemies much faster.

For the Nintendo Switch edition of Kero Blaster, the “Zangyou mode” from the Steam edition will be available. New bosses and a “Boss Rush mode” will also be added. For those seeking a challenge, crank up the difficulty and experience the challenging mechanics and traps at their hardest. The whole package is delivered in stunning pixel graphics. An enjoyable platformer game like Kero Blaster deserves to be available on the Nintendo Switch.

Kero Blaster for the Nintendo Switch launches on August 23rd. The game is available via the Nintendo Store, where you can avail a pre-order discount prior to its launch.
