Sony Xperia XA3 Rumored To Come With 6GBs Of RAM And Snapdragon 660
Sony is having a hard time in the global Smart phone race for quite sometime. They used to be one of the market leaders a few years back. They had a great Android UI and software suite, but it was let down by lackluster releases hardware wise. Specially due to the entry of super competitve Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi and OnePlus.
Although according to a recent leak, Sony might be coming out with a new mid ranger device, the Sony Xperia XA3. This will be the successor to the XA2 released in January this year.
According to the leak, the phone will come with the Snapdragon 660 processor and a impressive 6GBs of ram. The phone will also have a FHD+ screen with a resolution of 2160×1080.

Slashleaks were able to get hold of the GeekBench benchmarks of the device. The Sony XA3 manages a Single core score of 853 and a multi core score of 4172.
Comparing the Sony XA3 to it’s predecessors.
Specifications | Display Size (inches) | Resolution | Processor | Android Version | RAM |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Sony XA3 | - | 2160x1080 | Snapdragon 660 | - | 6GBs |
Sony XA2 | 5.2 | 1080 x 1920 | Snapdragon 630 | Android 8.0 (Oreo) | 3GBs |
Sony XA | 5 | 720 x 1280 | MediaTek Helio P20 | Android 7.0 (Nougat) | 3GBs |
You can see that the XA series have been no slouch when it comes to hardware and specifications. They even had good cameras as pointed out by many reviewers. But they were really overpriced for what they offered and lost the edge to it’s competitors, who were more value driven. If Sony can price the XA3 appropriately, they have a winner in their hands.
